You’ll need to sideload the UnLinked app on FireStick because it is not available in the official Amazon App Store. If you are new to the FireStick ecosystem, the term “sideload” may sound too technical for you, but trust me, it’s as easy as shooting fish in a barrel. 

To make the installation process easier to follow, I am going to split it into two sections. The first section is about preparing your FireStick, and the second is about installing UnLinked. So, without any more delay, let’s do this.

Section 1: Preparing Your FireStick to Download UnLinked

To sideload any app (including UnLinked) on Fire TV devices quickly, we need to have an app called Downloader. Available officially on the Amazon AppStore, the Downloader app lets you install third-party APKs and other files easily. To get it, here’s what you need to do: 

1. Select the Find option on your FireStick home screen.

2. Scroll down and click Search.

3. Now, start typing in Downloader. You don’t need to type the full name. Click on Downloader when it appears in the suggestions underneath the keyboard.

4. Click Downloader in the APPS AND GAMES section.

5. Click Download or Get. The app installation will begin now.

6. On the FireStick home screen, select Settings (the gear icon). 

7. Locate and select My Fire TV.

8. Scroll down and click Developer Options. (If you don’t see it click here)

9. Select Install unknown apps.

Note: If your screen shows Apps from Unknown Sources, select it to toggle it ON. You may ignore step 10 below.

10. Click on Downloader to turn it ON.

Part 2: Installing UnLinked on FireStick

Since we now have the Downloader app, let’s finish the UnLinked installation process.

1. Launch Downloader.

Note: If you ever have trouble finding a specific app, press and hold the home button on your remote, and select Apps from the menu that appears.

2. Select the URL input box as highlighted in the screenshot.

3. Enter unlinked.link in the box and click Go.

4. The link will take you to the official page of UnLinked. Scroll down the page using the directional button on your FireStick remote and select Download Android App.

5. Once the APK is downloaded, you will get a prompt to install it. Click INSTALL.

6. After installation, click DONE. 

7. The UnLinked app is now installed, so you don’t need the APK anymore. Click the Delete option. 

8. Click Delete again. 

How to Add UnLinked to FireStick Home Screen

1. From your Firestick home screen, select the three-tile icon.

2. Scroll to UnLinked without selecting it. On your FireStick remote, press the menu button.

3. Select Move.

4. Move the app to the top row using the directional buttons on your remote. Press the select button to finalize the app’s placement. 

5. You can now launch UnLinked from the home screen. 

How to Use UnLinked App on FireStick

Go ahead and launch the UnLinked app! As you can see from the screenshot, this is how the home screen looks.

Now select Add in the bottom-left corner.

Downloading an app from a library is a simple and straightforward process. Follow the below instructions to do so:

1. Select the app you want to get and click download.

2. Now, downloading will begin. 

3. Once the download is complete, select the app again and select Launch.

4. Click INSTALL.

5. After installation, click DONE to launch it later. If you want to start using the app immediately, select OPEN instead.

For TV users it is not a easy task to Install apps from the internet or websites. Because navigating, browsing and typing hard to remember download URLs using TV remote is not a easy task. No one like to repeat those time consuming process each time installing app from internet. Play Store TV does not has all the streaming apps we are looking for. Same goes with Amazon App Store. Unlike Play Store, Amazon App store does not has many apps as play store. Most Amazon Fire TV devices wont better way to install apps. Unlinked was developed to cope with all those problems.

You have to follow below mention procedure to install Unlinked on Android TV BOX to get one click installation of apps and games on TV. So how to install Unlinked on Fire TV. It is same as Android TV too.

How to install Unlinked

In order to download Unlinked to your TV, we need web browser to access official website. Here we are using “Downloader”. Because it is available on both Amazon App store and Play Store.

Install Downloader app on TV

First open Google Play Store TV or App Store on your TV box. Go to search and type “Downloader”. You will see this application appear on search results like below picture. Select it.

Now you will see “Install” button. Click on it to begin installation.

Once installation completed click on “Done”. Do not click on “Open”. Before opening that application we need set some permissions.

Set App Installation Permissions for Downloader

Go to settings. Which is at Top right corner. See below picture for location.

From the list of settings appear find and click on “Device Preferences“

Now scroll down and find “Security & restrictions“. Click on it to open Security settings.

Now click on “Unknown Sources”

Now you will see list of application appear. Scroll and find “Downloader” app. Select “Downloader” app and press “OK” or “Enter” button of your TV remote to allow access. Once permissions allowed, you see “Allowed” below that application like on below picture.

Once you enter above address press “down” button of your TV remote to select “Go” button. Press enter on “Go” button to download browser plugin. You will automatically redirect to installation once download completed. No need to find downloaded file and click to install. Once installation completed press “Done”.

Download and Install Unlinked

Now we can use “Downloader” application to download and install Unlinked. For that enter below address on Downloader and click on “GO” button to load official download website.

Now you will see Unlinked website.

Press “Down” button of your TV remote till you see download button like below picture. Click on it to begin download process.

You will redirect to installation once download process completed. Click on “Install” button.

Select “Done” after installation completed. Because we need to set permission allow app installation using Unlinked.

Allow Unlinked to install apps on your TV BOX

Just like we did for “Downloader” application, go to

“settings” -> “Device Preferences” -> “Security & restrictions” ->”Unknown Sources”. Scroll down till you see “Unlinked” application. Select it and press “enter” on your TV remote to allow access.

Install Apps using Unlinked

Now open Unlinked application. You will see add library button like below picture.

Now you are ask to enter Library Code or Unlinked code to access app store. Anyone can create Unlinked store for free. There are many TV lovers who create Unlinked store and made them public. You can access their store to install awesome free Movies, TV shows, Cartoon, documentaries, Sports, news and etc. applications. In order to access their stores you may need Library code or Unlinked code. You can find more codes from the internet. Just google it.
